WHAT: Two Ponds Nature Walk
WHEN: Saturday, September 15
WHERE: Meet at Cookeville Town Hall at 10:00 a.m. for a short hike ( 3/4 mile ) along Tenney Road to Two Ponds, where hosts Jonathan Strong and Scott Elledge will offer an informational welcome and Virginia Barlow, a regular Northern Woodlands contributor, will provide insightful commentary on the plants and wildlife to be found at ponds’ edges.
Light refreshments (cider and cookies) will be provided and donations to benefit Blake Memorial Library would be gratefully received at this time.
Note: This excursion will be limited to 15 participants. Please call Susie Strainchamps at 439-6760 before September 12th to place your name and phone number on our registration list.
Two Pond’s Nature Walk will be cancelled in the event of stormy weather. Calls to confirm a last minute cancellation may be made to Susie at 439-6760 or to Lisa Locke at 439-5494 on the early morning of September 15.
Appropriate (i.e. waterproof ) footwear is recommended.
