We invite you to join us for the summer: hiking, forest-bathing, nature journaling, reading, exploring, making crafts, swimming, singing, playing games, and celebrating the land we live on in community and friendship.
Through place-based learning experiences, camp participants will gain:
A new perspective, relationship, and connection to the plant, animal, and human communities around them.
An understanding of the Indigenous culture, history, and ancestry of our region.
An awareness of how to live in a more harmonious way with our land and community.
New knowledge and understanding of the native species around us from a lens of ethnobotany.
Hands-on skills in basket-weaving, beading, crafting, carving, primitive skills, and more.
We will offer 5 weeks of programming this summer, with one week specific to Middle Grades Humanities Camp. You may enroll for the weeks that work for your schedule, or for the entire summer. Healthy allergen-friendly and organic food will be provided: breakfast, lunch, and three snacks daily.
To sign up, please complete this Google Form by June 15th. Late registrations will be permitted if space allows; please contact us to inquire. Weekly enrollment is limited to 60 campers and slots will be filled in the order that forms are received, so be sure to sign up today to secure your spot!
We look forward to having you join us for another summer of camp programming. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact: blakememoriallibrary@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Miranda Miller, Camp Director
