AED Now Available at Library for Community Use

Thanks to a generous donation from the Montshire and Norumbega Trail Riders and the Corinth Fire Department, the library now has an automated external defibrillator (AED) available for community use.  The AED is located in the library vestibule, next to the book drop, which is open 24 hours a day.

AEDs are meant to be used on an unresponsive patient (no breathing or pulse) in conjunction with CPR or chest compressions.  If you would like to receive training on how to use this potentially life-saving device, the library has an instructional DVD available for check-out OR watch this instructional video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uWFu-4bZP8.

Instructions are also available inside the AED case and the AED has instructional voice prompts as soon as it is turned on.

The library also wants to thank the ZOLL Medical Corporation for their generous support of the Trail Riders’ AED donation program.
