On Tuesday, Feb. 28 @ 6:30pm, join us at the library to view video clips from the Corinth Oral History Project on the big screen followed by a Q&A session with some of the interviewees! These videos debuted on the library’s new website in December, and during this program, we’ll also take a (very) quick peak at some other research tools available through our new website.
Beginning in 2008, the Corinth Historical Society teamed up with a group of local volunteers to conduct interviews of Corinth residents about life in their town. The resulting Corinth Oral History Project records are now housed at the library.
In 2015, Abigail Spanier, a volunteer library intern, began to combine audio files and photographs from the interviews to create short movies featuring some of the interviewees. In December, the library very excited to debut these interviews on our new website! For more information or to view the interview videos, see the library’s “Research Local History” page or visit our Blake Memorial Library YouTube Channel.
Please note that not all interviews have been edited into videos at this time. If you have experience with video editing software and have an interest in volunteering for this project, please contact Emily at the library.
