On Monday, April 24 at 6:30 pm, join us for a viewing of the Vermont PBS documentary, The Local Motive, on the big screen. The Local Motive is a six-part documentary series focusing on different aspects of Vermont’s local food system. We’ll be watching the “Distribution” episode. After the movie, stay for a lively discussion with local farmers who will discuss successes and challenges of distributing the food they produce on their farms.
More on The Local Motive: The advent of a vast and global industrialized food system has allowed for a more diversified diet and a great deal of cheap food, but at the cost of the loss of connection between consumers and the people who produce their food. The Local Motive explores a different approach by taking a deeper look at the different aspects of Vermont’s local food system.
